The most affordable way is to take Houston Metro line: 102 Bush IAH express bus, it picks up at terminal C arrivals and makes a few stops at the cargo center and Greenspoint transit center before going nonstop to downtown Houston. The fare is just $1.25 (50 percent discount for students/seniors/medicaid/disbaled) and it takes roughly an hour to get there, there is a stop on this line is located less than a mile away from the convention center
It's always open
Tasty and great prices. Gluten free options!!
My go to place because great drinks and great food. Baton Bellini is my go to, fondeaux, coconut shrimp and the crab Mac. All great choices if you're not on a diet.
The food was fresh and the customer service experience was definitely on point!
Always great service and a nice atmosphere prior to a flight. Located in Terminal E. The meals are delicious with great flavors and a good number of options.
The food was amazing!!! My dad has been raving about this place for the past 5 years and we were recently able to try it for ourselves. Everything was so fresh. We had oysters, shrimp Cobb salad, and the Maui and Scallops. Everything was made to perfection. To enhance the experience even more, we had BeBe as our server. She was fantastic!!! So attentive to our table and was on point for everything. We have never experienced service like we did from her. (She deserves a raise!!) Will definitely be coming back at our next layover in IAH.
Pappadeaux's is one of my reasons for flying though IAH. This gem, hidden away on the 2nd floor of the United concourse, cooks up Cajun cuisine and serves with the true "Let the good times roll" spirit. Where else in an airport can you get fresh shucked oysters or fresh lobster? This time I picked up a beautiful Seafood Cobb salad to go. Made to order, it was loaded with fresh lump crab meat (I'm not a shrimp guy and they were happy to accommodate my special request) for under $15. Probably the best deal in the airport!I'll be back!
Friendly and attentive service. Sit at the bar if you can. Had the fried Alligator and Gumbo and both were really good. A very good place to kill some time on a layover
Favorite spot to grab a bite during a long layover or early check in at IAH. Prices are steep, best that in mind. Get the crawfish platter, it does not disappoint, neither do the crab cakes !
I had lump crab & spinach dip with garlic breads $21 after tax. the dip is very rich and creamy with 4 pcs of big garlic breads. the portion is huge. Nice food.
The best seafood, freshest oysters, fried soft shelled crab, and creole in Houston. I always like a 3 hour layover just to eat here. The one in Albuquerque isnt even close to the real thing.
Had an amazing experience here with my family. Place looks and feels classy and the service was fantastic as well. Meals were cooked nicely!
I cannot fly through Houston without stopping to eat at this Pappadeaux’s! They have such delicious food. It is much better than typical airport fare. They are very accommodating for food allergies as well. I get their grilled salmon and they are careful to make it without using any dairy. I look forward to eating here each time I pass through.
Really awesome restaurant and great food. I was surprised that this would be such great quality. I ordered the stuffed flounder as you can see in the picture below and I can honestly say it was the best stuffed fish I have ever tried.
I will pick a connection in Houston over one in Denver just because of this place. Great food for a chain, have the crab cakes and if you do not like them you are dead inside.
I find myself here more often than I care to admit, but the service and food quality is always flawless.
The staff are exceptionally nice..the view is awesome..there's an elevator and steps and the setup is great
Food came quickly and was delicious. Top seafood cuisine in an airport, impressive.
I ALWAYS STOP AT PAPADEAUXS period! The food is delicious and consistent no matter when or where you get it. I recommend the shrimp brochette with dirty rice. My favorite dish...who can say no to bacon? While you're at it get a 3 wheel motion. Trust me. The seafood gumbo is also good. This place is a major go!
Best choice for a getaway with in an airport. I was it was 8 hours into my travel with another 3 hour layover. I went upstairs and to my delight it was a place that made me feel like I could escape the fact I was in an airport. I was immediately greeted. She asked how long my layover was so they knew the situation. That was very considerate. Of course I was in no rush. Johnathon C was my waiter. He was on the ball and amazing. He told me the featured menu item. Spicy ginger salmon a top spinach with a hearty amount of lump crab, scallop and 2 jumbo shrimp. This was THE BEST SEAFOOD DISH I have ever had. I Tried a cocktail called the Henny Penny that was very good as well. I spent 75.00 on a delicious meal, 2 cocktails and a 23% tip. I want to also add that every server, cook, hostess, bartender and manager were focused and busy. Making sure to exceed expectations.
Soft shell crab excellent, oysters fresh and sweet, drinks was good(Kendell Jackson Char)
food was good, not exceptional for the prices, but once again, it's an airport so everything costs more
great seafood, the crab cakes are a must for me every time I have a connection through here. excellent service too!
Great food! Pricey but among the best you can get at the airport. Very good portions.
Consistent quality and tasty dishes capture my business every time I have a layover in Houston. The excellent service and speed of receiving my order are well noted. The fresh seafood and ample portions are great. I enjoyed a wedge salad and a shrimp on boy on my last visit. I could not finish my lunch due to the large portion. On previous visits I have really enjoyed the shrimp fondue or the crab Cobb salad. The food here is really a step above any other offerings at the airport.
Pretty good for an airport restaurant. Gumbo was decent and the salmon burger was served with an actual piece of fish. If you have an hour or so to spare at the airport I'd recommend checking this out.
Amazing oysters, lobster bisque, and margaritas. I fell short on the coffee - no espresso maker for about 4 years and the treat is having a new pot (not the one from this morning served at 7:20pm) made. For the price I would expect better.
My favorite place to take my family when they come to town. It’s a little pricey but worth it every single time. Next time I’ll take pictures and update. I recommend the crawfish fondue. Place is always nice and clean. Service is always great.
Not terrible. I really like the Crawfish etoufee. I never got a refill on water and the prices were pretty high. Service was quick and the server noted my boarding time.
The only issue that I have ever had with the Pappadeaux umbrella is that they don’t have more locations across the country; if you live in Texas, especially Houston you have one located, on what seems to me like every corner. Pappadeaux is my favorite place to get seafood and this airport (IAH) location is no different.Although, this location had a scaled down menu it still displayed excellent service and had wonderful tasting food. I ended up quickly glancing at the menu and went with the grilled shrimp over dirty rice - yummy! Normally, I would go with the fried alligator- two orders, but seeing I was watching my food intake for the evening the safe bet was the shrimp. From salmon to alligator this is the place to get your seafood fix! Well done team!Cheers,
Great seafood place, one of the best airport food experiences.
The service and the food was great. I ate here on a mondaM afternoon so there was not many people in the restaurant. The food came quickly and was very good. I had the soft crab dinner with spinach. The crab was cooked perfectly and the spinach included some spices that added to the flavor. Highly recommended if you have the time between flights.
The restaurant is located in Terminal E near Gate E-4 on the second level. There is an elevator or a flight of stairs to the restaurant. The restaurant is a full service restaurant with a full bar. The prices are moderate. The dishes served were very good. The service was very good.
Quick and professional service awesome food, reasonable (for an airport) prices, good prices, new beers.
We always stop here when we are leaving the country. Great place to kill some time at the airport, food is a little overpriced but it is good. Service is great too.
I had the Seafood Cobb salad, and it was absolutely marvelous! The portion sizes were large, service was excellent, and costs very reasonable.
We were on our way to Saigon so we grabbed a quick bite to eat during our layover. The food was rather good and we enjoyed the meal. The staff was helpful in suggesting what we would like. We will eat here again if we find ourselves here with a layover.
Great Seafood gumbo and garlic bread. Combined with beer it is a good meal when you are on a hurry to catch your flight.
It did not take long to recieve food. The kid's mac n cheese was a little disappointing.
Best place to stop for a layover in H Town!
Our server Darius was great! Offered information and was not intrusive nor interrupting and only came to assist us in perfect times. Food is on the pricier side but please remember this is the airport. To give you an idea, 4 drinks 2 entrees and a side came out to 105 after taxes (not including tip) Everything tasted fresh, we were satisfied by the portion as well.
Volunteered to give up my seat for a United Pilot and was given a $2000. Voucher and $20 in food vouchers so I decided to spend part of my wait time a Pappadeaux. Excellent service and the food was really good.
PapadauxB B, Bri and our lovely waitress Pamela, were very sweet. We started with raw oysters the mignonette was incredible. Onto the redfish Ponchatrain. The redfish was cooked perfect, grilled shrimp, lump crab and lemon butter sauce was so yummy, it also came with dirty rice. We were very happy with our choices, Pamela took great care of us and we WOULD go back!
Their food is the best. Very pricey for me so cannot go often.
No more buffet. Greek salad is amazing. Crab cakes are all crabmeat with delicious crunchy exterior and slightly spicy sauce in the plate. Incredible! Everything is good here actually. Worth the price and to get out of the melee
Excelent service, Quick, good food, big portions!
Great seafood restaurant. Great place to get away if you have a couple of hours to kill at Houston Airport. Located on the second floor and away from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Great food, large portions. The trout was delicious. Great drink selection and amazing service!
I always enjoy my meal here and the service. The food and drinks are excellent and the service is equally as good. My food casme out within 15 minutes!
Spectacular service and food, just tucked away above Terminal E. Take the elevator up and a nice, cozy atmosphere will greet you, with a full bar and great food. Awesome salads.
Catfish and Shrimp were fresh and the Key Lime Pie is Ahhhmazing!
The best seafood, freshest oysters, fried soft shelled crab, and creole in Houston. I always like a 3 hour layover just to eat here. The one in Albuquerque isnt even close to the real thing.
